Welcome our new instructor, Teresa Tipton. She will be teaching Abstract art and mixed media with us in Spring!
Teresa loves to connect each person with their inner artist and explore their unique expression. She's been looking for a meaningful opportunity to make art with a group of enthusiastic and interested adults, and she found us!

She has been a teaching artist working internationally in Kenya, the Czech Republic, Austria, Tanzania, Taiwan, and China for twenty-five years.
She also has decades of experience in art education in the USA. She holds a Doctorate in Education from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, an M.A. from Antioch University in Seattle, Washington, and a B.A. in Printmaking from the University of Iowa.
Teresa also recently published a children's book, "Raven's Heartsong." Teresa created the visuals using mixed media. Each image includes photography with its unique painting.
"By guiding the innately creative part of each individual, I seek to nurture respect for individual differences and diverse learning styles and facilitate the expression of one’s personal uniqueness.
In doing so, I utilize active learning, inquiry processes, and reflective practices to advance the creative development of professionalizing communities of practice and life-long learning to guide one's passions, achievement, purpose, and fulfillment."
